I said in my last post that I have wanted a Halloween quilt for a very long time, but I think I am taking it a wee bit too far. The first one I made was a treat. I love it and I love how it looks with the added borders. I am hoping to get going on the quilting this weekend.
The second was a trick. Did not turn out as expected but I know my mistake. The lights and darks are not correct in the 4 patch and that kind of messed it all up. But, I love the little vintage witch fabric from Joann's. I have a third one going tonight. I guess I have 3 girls so maybe I should make 4!!
Trick or treat to me!

ReplyDeleteBoth are fun Halloween finished!! The chvrons really came out good didn't it! Happy to see ya back in the sewing room. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the chevron!!! I'm thinking about a table runner this year, but haven't decided on the pattern yet.
ReplyDeleteI love seasonal quilts. This is definitely not taking it too far. They are adorable.
ReplyDeleteA chevron pattern for a Halloween quilt is perfect, and a good pick. I am very curious what fabric designer made that gorgeous fabric of the little witches on brooms. Any idea? It reminds me of an Alexander Henry, but I'm just guessing.
